Who we are

A consultancy built to drive systemic change.

Myriad Global is a strategic advisory and transformative learning practice. Our expertise lies in applying intersectional frameworks to real problems: designing strategies that cut through complexity and lead to measurable, lasting outcomes. Whether we are advising cabinet level departments or working with community partners, the approach is the same. Rigorous, ethical and grounded in evidence.

We bring decades of senior experience across justice, human rights, gender equality, cultural reform and public policy. We have led national inquiries, shaped legislation, built coalitions and advised governments and institutions at the highest levels. Our work is grounded in lived experience and deep community connection, and guided by a clear understanding of how systems, and power, actually work.

We work with clients who are ready to move past rhetoric and build systems that serve everyone. If you are ready to do this work properly, you are in the right place.

Services

What we do

Every engagement is tailored. Every solution is grounded in the complexity of real people's lives, and built to hold up under pressure, not just in theory.

01

Advisory and leadership support

We work directly with executive teams, boards and decision makers to embed intersectionality into leadership and governance, supporting strategy, risk management, organisational reform and culture change. We challenge blind spots and test assumptions.

02

Research and social policy analysis

Policy relevant research that unpacks complex social issues through an intersectional lens, informing program design, legislative reform and strategic investment.

03

Evaluation and impact measurement

Qualitative evaluation that centres lived experience, plus theories of change and impact frameworks with indicators that are valid, reliable and captured from everyday operations. We find out what works, what does not, and why.

04

Consultation and community engagement

Engagement processes that prioritise authenticity, access and the voices of lived experience, on policy, strategy or service delivery. Ethical, inclusive and fit for purpose, not a box ticking exercise.

05

Training and education

Practical, tailored, trauma informed training that builds capability in intersectional thinking at every level, from frontline staff to executive teams.

06

Group facilitation

Sessions that make space for difficult conversations, shared understanding and clear outcomes, from strategic planning to conflict resolution and community dialogue.

07

Campaign research with multicultural communities

Message testing, cultural insight and behaviour mapping so campaigns connect with multicultural communities on evidence, not assumption.

08

Strategic brokerage

We connect organisations with the right partners, voices and networks: building coalitions, forming cross sector alliances and advising on ethical collaboration.

09

Diversity, inclusion and safe workplaces

Inclusion strategies that interrogate systems, culture and language, plus psychosocial risk assessment, positive duty and Respect@Work programs that make workplaces safe.

Focus areas

Where we work

Multiculturalism and social cohesion

Programs, policies and engagement strategies that respond to the lived realities of culturally and linguistically diverse communities, with inclusive governance, ethical representation and authentic consultation.

Gender equity and gender based violence prevention

Systems level change through intersectional leadership, cultural capability and transformative education, building capacity for sustained violence prevention.

LGBTIQ+ inclusion and justice

Inclusive policy, governance reform and organisational change that embeds LGBTIQ+ equity, working alongside leaders and honouring community knowledge.

Our intersectional lens

Across every focus area we examine how power, racism, classism, ableism and structural inequality shape access, risk and opportunity. Intersectionality is not a shopping list of identities. It is the accumulation of systemic discrimination over time and generations.

Selected engagements

A representative selection from three decades of national and international consulting work.

Australian Migrant Resource Centre, South Australia

Preventing family and domestic violence in migrant and refugee communities

400+refugee and migrant women engaged
100+multicultural men trained as prevention leaders

A whole of community prevention model, built through action research and documented so other jurisdictions can replicate it.

We designed, delivered and evaluated a community led initiative across metropolitan and regional South Australia, responding to a recognised gap in culturally responsive prevention. The model engaged women, men, young people, community leaders, service providers and settlement organisations, with accredited training, women's leadership programs, youth engagement and a pioneering program engaging men from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds as advocates for gender equality.

The work involved government agencies, justice sector representatives, specialist family violence services, White Ribbon Australia and Lifeline Australia, and produced a nationally recognised good practice resource.

Our Watch, national

Preventing violence against women from migrant and refugee backgrounds

79participants in a national consultation
4cities, plus online consultation with peak bodies

The evidence base for a four year national initiative funded under the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022 to 2032.

We built the national multicultural stakeholder map, consultation framework, discussion tools and engagement strategy, then ran forums in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide with chief executives, board members, lawyers, educators, case managers and prevention practitioners.

The national findings report set out how mainstream prevention frameworks can account for racism, visa insecurity and unequal access to power, with recommendations including better data and evaluation approaches. Our recommendations directly shaped the Our Watch national framework.

Australian Muslim Women's Centre for Human Rights

Early marriage and educational pathways for young Muslim women

220+women took part through interviews, focus groups and surveys

Research on a highly sensitive issue, carried out in a way that reflected the diversity of Muslim women's voices rather than stereotypes.

Using a culturally sensitive, community led method, we examined how culture, religion, gender, migration, family expectations and economic pressure shape decisions about marriage and education. The research identified barriers including limited access to career guidance, legal rights information and culturally appropriate support.

It concluded with an evidence based report and recommendations on women's leadership, community education, vocational pathways, legal literacy and culturally responsive service delivery.

Workplace Equality and Respect across government agencies

Psychosocial risk assessments and training that measurably increased employee confidence and reduced workplace complaints.

We assessed psychosocial risk to identify the stressors driving workplace harm, then built interactive modules on real workplace scenarios, equal opportunity principles and psychological safety, with workshops for leaders and staff at every level.

The program was recognised as a best practice framework for integrating psychological safety into workplace policy and training.
