Intersectionality, equity and safety advisory
We don't tick boxes. We transform systems.
For three decades Myriad Global has advised governments, courts, police, national bodies and community organisations on the hardest problems in Australian public life: family violence, discrimination, settlement and safety at work. We work with the communities those systems most often miss, and we produce evidence that holds up in front of funders, boards and government.
Safe and Inclusive Sport Community of Practice, delivered with Sport and Recreation Victoria at Ikon Park, Melbourne.
Trusted by government, the justice system, national bodies and community organisations.
See the workWho we are
Where policy meets people.
Myriad Global is a strategic advisory and transformative learning practice. We apply intersectional analysis to real problems and turn it into strategy, programs and evidence that change how institutions behave.
Our team has led national inquiries, shaped legislation, built coalitions and advised governments at the highest levels. We have done that work with refugee and migrant communities, faith communities, survivors of violence and frontline workers, often on issues people would rather not talk about. That is where our methods were built, and it is why they hold up.
We work with clients who are ready to move past rhetoric. Every engagement is led by senior people, tested with the communities affected, and designed to leave the client with capability it keeps.
Expertise
Four areas where we have changed what happens next.
Each one is backed by national programs, published research and long relationships with the people they affect.
Gender equity and violence prevention
Whole of community prevention models, national consultation for Australia's primary prevention framework, and accredited family violence training for frontline workers.
Multiculturalism, settlement and social cohesion
Programs, research and policy that respond to the lived realities of migrant, refugee and culturally diverse communities, from settlement reform to access to justice.
LGBTIQ+ inclusion and justice
Inclusive policy, governance reform and organisational change that embeds LGBTIQ+ equity, working alongside leaders and with community knowledge.
Safe and respectful workplaces
Psychosocial risk assessment, positive duty and Respect@Work compliance, and response systems for discrimination, harassment and bullying.
Our intersectional lens
Intersectionality is not a shopping list of identities. It is the way racism, sexism, ableism, class and migration status stack up over time to shape who gets access, who carries risk and who is heard. We build that analysis into governance, policy and service design, not just training.
Capabilities
What we do
Nine capabilities, delivered alone or together, and always scoped around the decision the client actually has to make.
Advisory and leadership support
Working with executives and boards to embed intersectionality into strategy, risk, governance and culture change.
Research and social policy analysis
Policy relevant research that informs program design, legislative reform and strategic investment.
Evaluation and impact measurement
Theories of change, impact frameworks and qualitative evaluation that show what works, what doesn't, and why.
Consultation and community engagement
Ethical, trauma informed engagement that reaches people mainstream consultation misses.
Training and capability building
Practical programs for frontline staff through to executive teams, including nationally accredited training.
Facilitation
Structured sessions for strategy, difficult conversations, conflict resolution and community dialogue.
Campaign research
Message testing, cultural insight and behaviour mapping so campaigns land with multicultural audiences.
Strategic brokerage
Connecting organisations with the right partners, voices and networks to build coalitions that last.
Inclusion and safe workplaces
Inclusion strategy, psychosocial risk and Respect@Work programs that make workplaces safe for everyone in them.
